Yale Day of Service: Volunteer with Boca Helping Hands
Come join your fellow alumni members to give back to our community!
Since their start as a modest soup kitchen in 1998, Boca Helping Hands has grown into one of the largest nonprofit service providers in South Florida, now with 25 staff members and over 300 core volunteers assisting nearly 35,000 clients annually.
BHH sends weekend meals home to food-insecure elementary school students via the BHH Backpacks Program and serves 15 schools across South Palm Beach County. The BHH Resource Center provides emergency financial assistance to Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Lake Worth, Greenacres, and Palm Springs residents in crisis to help with rent, overdue utilities, and the rising cost of childcare through the Children’s Assistance Program (CAP).
Please note we have a volunteer portal for individuals to create an online profile which can be found via this link https://www.bocahelpinghands.org/volunteer. All persons who are scheduled to volunteer must sign the e-waiver, Volunteer Handbook and have a valid Government picture ID - driver's license/permit or passport or for minors (a birth certificate along with a picture school ID), ready for upload when creating the online profile.
